If you have the rubber pigtail fitted to your bottles and regulator, change it for a stainless steele one, and try to get a fall with it below your regulator.

High as possible doesnt confirm the Regulator is higher than the valve of the bottle itself ?

Bottom line is it needs to be .

You dont state whether you are running off exchanged bottle at the time of replenishment, or a fixed arrangement that is topped up , If the latter, there too could be the culprit.

As mentioned above, old pigtails could also be the problem. Using stainless steel will not offer any immeadiate advantage over replacement neoprene ones.

Re gas valve problem. The change over valve is fixed to the roof of the gas bottle locker and the gas regulator is just below on the back wall of the locker well above
the gas bottles. The seems to be a lot more oil in the change over valve than in the regulator. The service engineer who fitted them in this possition told me I would not have any more problems. Not so.

system (appliances)

regulator

change over valve

bottles

this is how the system should be fitted, only reg to system can you allow for a minimal physical fall,,,,,the rest of the system is under far greater pressure and arranging as suggested will minimise oil residue entering the system,

fwiw, i have never addressed a system where oil contamination has been the culprit,of some failure

i suspect you have had an old bottle or one sightly overfilled that has left its calling card
