IF your charger isn't a 'smart' one.... Then yes (smart chargers have built in magic to enable them to look after the battery to maximise its life)

It depends upon your charger. My lead acid LB's have been on constant EHU for 5 months via a Zig X-70 12.5A charger. It's not a smart charger as such but it does reduce the current right down the fuller they get, and zero charge current when full, as shown by my battery monitor. I did consider changing it for a smart charger but don't feel it is necessary. My LB's seem happy and healthy.
