Leisure battery problem

Hello!

Firstly, I should introduce ourselves, as we've not had a chance to do so yet - we are Nathan and Anna, proud owners of 'Ginny' our 1989 T25 hightop.

Our problem is this, our leisure battery has died and we are not sure why - possibly because it has been run well and truely flat by the fridge box. Can anyone advise whether we should just try to charge it whilst driving (it hasn't worked thus far) or whether the battery will need a 'proper' charge?

This leads to the next problem, we are on our honeymoon and currently in Nurnberg in southern Germany, so if anyone knows of a camping shop where we could aquire a new leisure battery in Nurnberg or close by, that would be great?!

In anticipation and hope, many thanks for your advice!

Nathan and Anna

It is possible that your battery has died & beyond recovery but it would need to be checked or possibly charged from the mains. You obviously have internet so you could try googling 'reisemobil Nurnberg ' to get a list of motorhome dealers. I have found the German motorhome dealers very helpful, or try just searching 'Leisure Batterien Nurnberg'
