Leaking shower tap... what do i need to purchase

The plastic bit which the hot and cold water hose goes into is cracked or broken and I can't find the bit I need to buy unless I have to buy the whole fixing and tap for 70 odd quid I assume.
We can't use the water in sink or the pump in motorhome as the water just flood out the shower fitting under the basin.
Any pointers? Would be much appreciated.

Without actually seeing this it’s difficult to say, but it sounds like the plastic has went brittle with age, and you need a new shower mixer. Make sure you buy a mixer with the correct pipe fittings, motorhomes are normally 10 or 12mm.

Oh no! That's rough. Sounds like a frustrating situation. Have you tried searching online for just the plastic bit? Those replacements can sometimes be surprisingly affordable. You never know until you look! Alternatively, it might be worth chatting to a local hardware store - they might have something that would do the job.

Temporarily you could block off the hoses so that you can use the water.

Reich taps are expensive. Comet taps are just as good and a lot cheaper.

Bought a comet shower mixer tap but I think it's the one with a micro switch which my motorhome didn't have. The pictures below show existing fittings and the new tap. I can't see how I can replace the hot and cold pipes but it might be I can't as I need a non micro switch tap which I haven't been able to find online. Any guidance really appreciated as taking motorhome in to dealer's Monday to get it valued as part exchanging it but don't want to take it without new tap if possible... but they might take a bit off to fix the tap themselves????

the one in my leaking shower tap thread is a microswitch one, but the wires just hang loose, I was just about to cut them short but then saw they may impede the retractable hose so left them alone.
