hi guys

my compass avantgarde 400 started to gush water out from under the sink area. (above the fridge)
so i managed to pull out the fridge about 10cm however, it wont come any further out. ive taken off the outide vent too.. no joy. 10cm play thats it..

from shining in my torch under the gap under the sink in between the sink and top of fridge i can see that a pipe has come away from the bottom of the sink !!! therefore when i turn on the bathroom tap or kit sink tap on the water just floods out on top of the fridge then onto my floor... keep the tap off and there is no flood.. the pipe thats come of is a flexipipe... i dont even have to use the kit tap the bath tap seems to gush water out onto the top of the fridge..

ive tried to pull out the fridge however, it only come out 10cms. the sink and kitchen work surface looks like a major job to remove..

any suggestions or advice or garage recommendations would be greately received..

in stockport area

cheers jon

Don't know what sort of fridge you have - but is the gas pipe still connected?

Also some fridges have securing screws - usually concealed by a cover - near the front edge of the cabinet. Two on each side.

May also be legs on the fridge which are catching on a lip on the bottom shelf.

easier to remove sink

if it is the same as my autostratus carefully remove seal around sink.each corner has four plastic covers under these are screws undo .these lift out carefully as mine has an earth wire attached.replaced mine with a bit of clear silocone under seal
hope this helps

hi guys... the fridge is still connected.. ive only pushed it out a bit... i have turned the gas off though just for the safety aspect... it seems to be the top of the fridge thats catching on the bottom of the sink :mad2:

ill have a look at the sink to see if i can cut the seal and remove upwards.. that would be so easy to sort if i could..

oh sorry forgot to say yes removed the screws from inside the fridge so its can move within its frame...

ive managed to do it.. on top of the fridge is a long piece of wood holding down the pipes and elec cables. so you cant pull out the fridge as the sink outlet pipe hits the wooden baton as you pull the fridge out..

so i unscrewed the outlet pipe from inside the sink and pulled out the fridge.

under the tap the cold water pipe had poped out. quick shove back in and job done.

removed the wooden baton and taped up the cables neatly on top of the fridge..

then pushed it back in..

one thing i thought at first was a split pipe as i could see the water gushing from the bend in the cold pipe, i tried to remove the push fit cold pipe but struggled. i know you push in the collar but the how do you get the pipe out. pull, twist ? just for future ref..

cheers jon
