diddent want to hijack a thread ....but the last thing i have got for my van is a new owner .yep the time has come to part with my trusty old beddy .i will miss it but after some four and a half years of trouble free owner ship and an 18 month spell of living in her the time came to part company

Hi Mandrake, will you be getting another MH or will you be retiring from hitting the roads? We hope to read more of your posts in the future. Let us know what's up.

hi, ooo no not hanging my boots up yet just time for a change .we have had our bedford for near on 5 years cannot belive how time flys.and in all that time i have hardly spent anything on the van apart from regular maintainence,so before it starts costing me dearly it was time to part company so for the winter i am going to use a estate car for getting about with (still plenty of room for a blow up bed and a sleeping bag for the od night out ) and looking round for a van to do a self build probably (always fancied that ) the worst news of all is i shall not be quitting coming on here ha ha ha

Good luck with the future Mandrake, selfbuild all the way, turn your hobby into another hobby;)
I am on my third self build, the latest being a 2 year old Fiat Ducato XLWB with all the bells and whistles.

thanks as we have realy enjoyed or time with the beddy at first most weekends out and about ,and then our 18 months or so living full time in it which i must say we loved also with moving down to south wales i have an elderly mum back up north and it would work out rather expensive and too time consuming traveling up to yorkshire in the van, so a diesel estate car will be of more use at this moment in time, and not only would it kill my wallet it would have killed the van too it is 27 years old

Nice to know you will still be around. Good luck with the self build. Hope you get it finished before the price of gas puts us all out of bussiness.

well actualy it seems ive still got the van.i had put it on ebay and the winning bidder rang to say he would be down to pick it up sunday put 100 quid in my pay pall account deposit, so i told him it was non returnable as per the rules he agreed, he never turned up. today he rang me said it was too far to travel (he lives up in penrith) to pick it up and asked if there was any chance of his deposit back, so i told him if you come down you can have it minus my listing fees of course, he uttered some profanity and questiond my parentage and hung up :D:D ah well mabey he will learn next time he bids on anything
