i didn't sleep well last night... far too hot.... just dropped off and a couple of hours later flaming dawn chorus at 153 decibels started by fat pigeon sat on my open windows screaming into the bedroom.... had to get up to close the window... then FAR too hot.... now flaming garden needs watering again....

We managed to wake everyone up the other day rather early ..
On a campsite by Spanish Coast. Rather warm and both up early. SWMBO decides to make a coffee. First thing she does is opens the window and the second thing that happened was the alarm went off.
Could we shut it up .. We tried everything until finally it stopped. Then I opened the door and off it went again. What a racket.

summers too hot winters too cold....spring and autumn just about right............hosepipe ban soon, get garden watered before it comes into force dg...... i dont think many folk are getting a decent nights sleep at the moment..........what i would like to know is........how does everyone cope with getting back to sleep after waking up at 4am.... take care dg.

i am lucky that my neighbour has a well and allows me to use it to water my flowers and a few currants lettuce and tomatoes.
i have one geranium in a pot outside in the hot sun which was a gift 6 weeks ago... its Thriving !!! and i have never watered it.... I am an un natural gardener and dont really know what i am doing to be honest but the colours and flowers and shrubs here are beautiful - but the village is very friendly and people have helped me a lot

im sure marie snowgoose would e pleased to hrlp with any gardening queries,,,,,its nice that you get help from village folk.....some are born with greenfingers and others have to work hard at it....ive never managed to grow veg,,,however pretty good with wildflowers..no prolem.....
so if you have veg growing you must be doig something right

We stopped at Vieux-Boucau-Les-Bains for what was supposed to be a couple of nights but been here nearly two weeks. It’s hot during the day but then you get a nice COOL Evening Breeze off the Atlantic. Just what you need for a reasonable nights sleep :sleep-027:
