Can I connect a wireless keyboard and mouse to a Laptop? I take it, I don't need to use the key board on the Laptop and I can use the cursor from the mouse, instead of scrolling with the fingers on the Laptop pad. Will the wireless keyboard and mouse be compatabile? Thanks

i don't know the answer to that but I have a Mouse plugged into my wireless Lap Top and use that as I don't like the scrolling pad on the Lap Top ?? A simple button press on the Lap Top Scroller activates the Mouse and cuts out the Scroller.

Should be alright. I use a wireless keyboard and mouse on my netbook all the time as the keypad's too small. Just plug the wireless dongle thingy into the USB, and away you go! On mine, too, the key and mouse pads remain enabled, so you can use both.

Speaking of netbooks - huge battery life! I use mine all the time in the van and can get 9 hours easily from a single charge! ;)

Thanks Vindiboy and MartianTom. I thought as much but was not sure. Now I am. Thanks again.

Yes - I'm typing this using a wireless Logitech c/w mouse - £19.99 from Argos. It was plug 'n play. Put the dongle into any of the USB 2.0 sockets, wait a couple of minutes while it sorted itself out and you're good to go. This one but I see they've put the price back up to £24.99 LINK

Are all wireless keyboards and mouses compatable with any Laptop. the reason for my original post is, that I want to give someone a Christmas present in Australia. My present board and mouse is wireless. It came with a software disc. No dongle/cable to a USB port. Is a desktop PC different from a Laptop regards connections. I am really dumb with computers. Advice please, thanks.

The wireless keyboard and mouse I use with my Netbook originally came with my PC. I didn't use them for that 'cos I'd already got a decent wired keyboard and mouse. I don't think there should be a problem with interchangeability - it should just be plug 'n' play.

having read on the i pad they dont support flash and my idea of portable pc is do everything within reason i do on home pc with the exception of encoding and photoediting as they take a lot of processing power and memory so be happy with a portable pc that does flash and can watch tv on with a usb stick and do my email and surf and that can use in the camper as video recorderand player
