Lake District today

Anyone else here in their vans? Apart from my ranty thread about traffic and fat cars its been a smashing day here today. Campsites seem packed. Lots of vans in Windermere both on the site and freeloading on the roadside it seems. Its felt like a summer bank holiday here today just freezing.

It is Rob. Between Windermere and Coniston not far from Hawkshead. It's a two mile round walk round the lake. Just pick a day when it's not too busy as the roads up are narrow.

I was thinking of having a weekend or so in the lakes on the bike at some point Barry. I assume there are campsites nearby?

A fair few dotted around the Lakes Rob but I reckon you will be wanting one of the informal tent sites rather than the big club sites. Will have a think.
