The Niva was always a tough basic and very capable 4x4...

Yes. Wonder why the article said not available in Europe, theres a UK supplier and just checked mobile.de and theres a fair few new ones being advertised.
Including MH. Slightly different price though.

I don't think there is an official importer in the UK as such...
I'm sure I remember it being basically a one man band importing them...

Production of the Niva, ends soon so best get in quick if anyone is, interested.

Theyre a popular vehicle for modifying too...

Years ago (probably back in the late 80s) i worked beside a guy who drove a Lada Riva. He often said (seriously) his dream car was a Lada Niva... Maybe he knew something no one else did

At the price quoted in the OP, it looks a great deal - a lot of kit for the money.

At €46k though, less so....

I would expect for 46k you can ick up a fair amount of alternatives second hand.
