CALLING ALL KNITTERS/CROCHETERS! Having seen some ladies knitting at the meets I wondered if any would like to be part of knitting for war/disaster areas. I am happy to form a group at meets & provide wool/needles etc. and it would be a good way to get to know one another. Knitted squares are always welcome to make up into blankets. If you want to learn to knit or crochet that would be ok too. I am at the Banham meet next so please let me know if you are interested.
Regards
Hazel (nimmo777)

I’ll join. I’m not brilliant and my arthritis sometimes stops me doing too much, I crochet:knit for a local group - we are doing poppies at the moment for November. I will be there next weekend - what size needles/crochet hooks should I bring?

I have been known to knit - made 2 sweaters while away for 3 months in Portugal this year....

Grandchildren were really pleased, they fit their Build a bears really well 😂😂

Izzy is still on the babies bobble hat she started months ago, something about dropped stitches. The bobble looked like a squashed spider.:lol-049:

Hazel, that knitting of yours looks fantastic, even a Neanderthal like me can see the expertise in them.
Izzy is in awe and looking forward to meeting you.

PSSO

I can remember reading Mum's, The Sainted Doris, knitting pattern.

They look good but are very simple to make. Usually just joined squares & bright colours. Don't tend to difficult or complex things as we try to get as many as possible done for overseas. Looking forward to seeing you at Banham. :(

Hi Linda. If you can knit bears' jumpers could you knit a square or two for a blanket please? Are you at Banham? :)

Yes I will be at Applewood.... I do have bits of wool and needles so let me know beforehand what you would like as I tend to knit while driving- lee driving obviously!

Unfortunately we are not able to do Banham but hopefully we will catch up with you elsewhere.
