kitchen-made diesel

wow !!

i like the bit where he says the oil is cholesterol free !!! as if you are going to drink it.. i still prefer "bushman's champagne" methylated spirits with a spoonful of andrews liver salts....cherry optional.

Don't understand why one needs to add anything to the SVO (straight vegetable oil) with used oil the idea is to remove water and animal fats but pure veggie oil is ready to go. Strange.

Quite agree with you Roger, as I have been using SVO for a couple of years now.:D

can you use SVO in new Diesels

Check with the manufacturer of the injection system, as some need the "oil" content of the hydrocarbon version of diesel to lubricate the injection system.

There were some horror stories when BP introduced low sulphur diesel fuel that ruined injection pumps in less than a tank full.

I'd imagine that SVO has limited lubricating abilities and might need an additive or a 50:50 mix of hydrocarbon diesel.

But if in doubt ask the company that will foot the warranty bill if things go wrong.
