hi,
as a free member i am rather confused about the down load system for poi.
at present time i am not allowed to use this being a free member but can i request some information about this subject.

do you down load to your computer and then load into your gps unit ???

can you load straight into your gps unit ???

my gps unit is a igo primo, hema navigator hn5i, version 1.0, hema maps pty ltd.

Hi Ken

The POI files are downloaded to your computer, and one of the files is for use with Google Earth so you need to be online.

There's a file to use with Microsoft Autoroute 2010, and a file that you can import into other versions of Autoroute.

And there are files that can be downloaded via your computer to the majority of satnavs - TomTom, Garmin, Navman and Navigon.

You will not be able to use your existing Igo device I believe.

many thanks for this information, i am going to peterborough tomorrow and will have a word with falcon security people about this, i wonder if other motorhomers who have bought this unit know that it cant be used with wc poi.
