The little plasticy bit on our fridge that keeps the door open when it's not in use, has broken. Not that it was much use when the van was being driven. Has anyone got a simple idea for keeping the fridge door slightly open, but secure?

Not sure which plasticky bit you mean but if it's the pin you could try a plastic golf tee perhaps :)

I don't think this will help but when we had our last van and we wanted the door left open slightly when we were not using it we had a golf tee to keep it open no good if on the move naturally and then it fitted in the hole when moving.:D

Sounds like a problem that I had when I bought my motorhome and solved by ordering a replacement. Some clue as to your fridge make and model might enable someone to be more helpful (even me when I get Wi-Fi again).

Tom

It's on the door latch, it' a 2004 Thetford fridge (don't know the model number off hand), but as I said, it wasn't much use when driving along. I might have to fit a hook and eye arrangement

Our original one was useless so we chucked it in a drawer and used something to flick the bit across.
Dealer then put a new one on which is far better but shows as locked when open and vice versa.

A rolled up piece of carboard in the doorway and some electrical tape across the door works for us
