Welcome ...

If you download the Wild Camping Map & POI Files stuff, you can use the KML file with Google Earth to armchair explore at your leisure ...

Almost all the spots include a link to Streetview so you can take a closer look ...

Have fun :)

Chris

Dunure park

If it's April, you should get away camping despite the no overnight camping n threat to lock the gates at 7 in the big park next to dunure castle or even by the harbour. Nice wee pub which serves good grub next to the harbour.

Porten cross

Ooh n theres also Portencross carpark further up past ardrossan. Again home made no overnight camping sign and very high goalposts but no bother or interference. No entertainment cept for the sea n view tho!

Hi canalsman

I done some work up in the north west of Scotland. Well about 10 mile south of cape wrath. There is hotel come pub with enough room for about 10 motorhomes. I'm sure she can accommodate you, her names Heather lol she's actually from Newent in Gloucestershire. Just say Charlie the gas/plumber engineer done some work at your hotel (Rhiconic hotel). She or Marcus does a cracking breakfast I mean the works lorne sausage, haggis, tattys, bangers, black pudding , eggs and beans. It's within 2 miles of a fishing port locally known as "The Clash" by fisherman and locals, but known as kin loch bervi. There are seals that can been seen in the harbour. Also some fantastic beaches. Oldshoremore is an easy walk but stunning. Like wise sand wood is also beautiful and unspoilt but is about a 10 mile round trip but it's worth the walk.views are breath taking. If you need Heather's email I'm sure I can get hold of it.:)
