I hadn't noticed this before BUT Portmerion have put in place 23 motorhome pitches

Not the cheapest BUT when you weigh up the facilities available ...

And entrance to portmerion is £20 per person in main season ....
It doesn't seem bad value ....
Especially with out of hours access

Welcome to Portmeirion Motorhome Park.

There are 23 plots available with three different pitch sizes:

Small pitch (5.5m x 4m) - from £55

Medium pitch (7m x 4m) - from £65

Large pitch (8m x 5m) - from £75

Each pitch location is on a hard surface and has the following:
Electric hook-up, TV hook-up, drinking water tap.

On site, the following facilities are available:
Wash rooms, showers & toilets, wireless broadband, grey water tank, elsan drainage, dish washing facilities, refuse & recycling and picnic areas.

Entry to Portmeirion will be complimentary (out of hours included).
The swimming pool may be used. Details available in reception at check in.

Check in times 2pm onwards, check out 10am.

No dogs (with the exception of registered guide and assistance dogs) are permitted on the Motorhome park or in the village

Shame about the 'no dogs' :(
Thought the same ....

Doesn't seem to specify on WHAT type of assistance dogs though ....

Thinking one each of these for the whippets filled with a decent single malt would be no end of "assistance" to me ...

I was there last year and we really enjoyed our stay. I thought it was excellent value for money at £65 for the trip. It’s £20 each to enter so for £25 you get excellent facilities. Each pitch with hedge separation, great showers, two elsan points, fresh water, EHU and the best grey water facility I have yet to see. Also when the public have left you are free to go back if you want to take photos. I loved the Prisoner which was filmed there in the 60s. It’s a unique experience, when we were there it was the height of summer and a warm sunny day, we felt we were in Italy and not north Wales.

I've visited several times over the years and seen the ups and downs from slightly neglected to well kept and spanking looking ...

As you say cracking value ....especially with what's offered .

We stayed almost opposite last year at Lech just on outskirts of Harlech and walked over the Estuary almost to the concrete ship .

Lovely part of the world always round .

Here’s the thread I posted last year

If we visit again would take this up, last time we went it was raining as we entered on opening time, but the sun came out and we had quite sometime before the crowds came.

We visited many years ago and were surprised to catch glimpses of `The Prisoner` dashing between buildings, complete with signature striped blazer.
If you're in Wales then St Fagans https://museum.wales/stfagans/ is a good visit with dogs and now features a reconstructed Cardiff pub. A charge for parking but otherwise free.

We have 1 night booked for early June, looking forward to wandering around in the evening. Complimentary entry includes free use of the swimming pool. Found it on Search for Sites and initially thought it was too expensive but then spotted that complimentary access was included.

Is this new?we went last year and dogs were ok outside just not in the 🏡
Presume still the same . Yes you can walk about outside with the dog but you can only take them into , I think , the 2 bars .
I mean the old co-op, for example , is a replica of an old drapers shop basically. Surely no health hazards ?

It is indeed . Was at Beamish recently, dogs not allowed virtually anywhere

We don't have a dog so we aren't bovvered as it were. However if you have an electric vent fan in your camper roof which blows fresh air in, would that make it ok to leave doggy inside the van?
I fitted an electric extractor / impeller fan and it works brilliantly. Extracts fumes from kitchen, and blows cool air down when it's hot outside. And those with hair (not me) can dry their hair after a shower.
