Today I purchased a Jump start and Compressor, which has also an in built Hazard flashing lamps, Work light, sockets for 12 & 5 volt cig lighter type. Cost £34.99 at Aldi. Used it today, so far so good. What are your thoughts on it, if you have heard of, or seen one.

I bought one a few years ago. After 6 months the gauge went on the tyre inflator but other than that, a good bit of kit. I have used the starter battery many times on various vehicles without any problems and the lamp still works but not all that bright. Hope this helps.

Sorry David & Ann
But the cheap jump starters are no good for diesel engines as they are well under powered but if you want it to power other things such as blowing up air beds and starting a petrol car then they are o.k and very handy.
Regards Keith.

That is precisely why I bought the machine, so that I could pump up my air ride suspension. It took me 30 secs per side to get it from 2 bar to 3.5 bar. I know it has the batt: starter, but I don't think I will need it, as I have 3 x 110Ah batts: for habitation area, all new and a 110Ah new starter batt: under the bonnet. The one I have was made in Bietigheim, Stuttgart, Germany. I take it, it is of good quality. (I hope so ☺)The only thing I don't like is that the leads are quite short if and when I do need to, if ever, start the MH if the batt: is low. Someone mentioned, it may not be good to starta diesel engine. I will comment on that when the time comes. To date I am pleased with the product.

jump starters

my daughter bought one of these, and when we where away for 4 weeks the fiat doblo battery wouldn't start the car, used her jump starter and it fired up the car (1.9 multijet)
straight away.
