Anyone got ideas re a quiet venue?

My village is going to extremes with scarecrows, bunting, party on the park, bunting etc. I need to get away - as a youngster had to watch the Coronationon a 9" tv then witnessed 21 field guns missing the local gas works!

I went to a couple of quiet venues during the 1977 Jubilee. The Stranglers at the Electric Circus in Manchester, followed by Hawkwind supported by Motorhead at Preston Guildhall the next night. Saved me an awful lot of forelock tugging which I guess is why I still have all my hair.
