just got a email from the AA,they are offering 2000 nectar points for new members who join before the 31st of may membership is minimum £35.00 plus more points for additional cover.
may be useful to some of you thinking about recovery.

Bank Accounts

Some of those bank accounts that you pay a monthly fee for, give free travel insurance, discounts of gig tickets (you normally get 25% off most at places, we have used it for Cardiff, the local Arena and City Hall.) These accounts sometimes have free vehicle recovery. Mine covers cars and motorcaravans (inc my motorhome), I should really check that it covers the motorbikes one day as it doesn't mention them.

Whilst on money saving tips, I use quidco.com when I purchase car/motorbike insurance. Last year I got £75 cash back on a £300 policy for my car. And a few £20 off the motorbike policies. Better in my pocket than moneysupermarket.com's

dont ever pay to have a bank account because it offers free travel insurance ,it aint free you are paying for it with the account fee probably £10 per month or more
get anual travel insurance for a couple for around £50 for a year at
