We got a £10 voucher to use during Febuary on any online purchase , so i thought i'd use it but they had other ideas !
The website wouldn't accept the voucher code for the goods i tried to order , therfore the so called offer is a scam .
Don't waste your time going to their website to use your voucher , its a con :mad2::mad1:

have you called them and let them know its not working? could just be a fault on there web page :)(

cheers

The website said i couldn't use it for the items i ordered , although the offer said ' any online purchase ' during Febuary .
So i cancelled my order and unsubscribed from them .

I would have called £10 is £10 ) must be the scottish blood in me lol

You should have been more patient and rang them up.

John's Cross has one of the best reputations in the business and Peter has been very helpful to members on here and other forums. You have made them sound like rip off artists on a public forum and I think that is unjust.

I just tried to take them up on their offer and would have been a regular customer in the future , but it only takes one bad experiance with a company to put me off using them again . If there were conditions to the offer it should be made clear to the customer . I spend quite a bit online and last month spent over £400 with Brownhills of Newark who gave me excellent service .

very unfair to acuse them of being scammers without even dropping them an e mail explaining your problem or ringing them youd find more bad press regarding brownhills than st johns if you chose to search the web im sure

That is a bit ironic as there have been hundreds of complaints about brownhills on forums, some of them extremely serious.

Nice to see they are getting things right now. :)

the most annoying thing is that you have to go through the process of registering , then making your order and its not untill you try to pay for your order that you find out the voucher is invalid for the items you've chosen , fair enough if it was only valid for certain items or if you spend over a set amount of money but that was not the case . It stated ' any online sale during Febuary ' which to me is misleading information .

I know Brownhills have a reputation on here but the spare parts department have given me very good service and couldn't have been more helpful when i needed help with obsolete parts . Its also the only place i've found that keep Hymer rooflights in stock .

I tend to agree with the others here, i have seen many posts from John cross and he is a very decent man in my opinion, he offered a MH free of charge to a member who was having real problems with Brownhills, its a long story but some of the older members on here will remember, i think you should be very careful what you say on a public forum, it could be very damaging to what i would consider a very well run business

hopefully not the dealer nearest to me , but withing travelling distance would be nice

What exactly did you try and order as quite a number opf people have ordered using the voucher without any problems at all.

If you are trying to order items that are 'collect only' such as batteries, petrol etc , no we do not deliver them due to restrictions on post and courier deliveries.

Kindly give full details before you accuse me of being a con artist or a scammer.

I would just ignore the OP John Cross. If he was even halfway fair-minded he would have used your website contact details as a first step before coming here.

That is the trouble with most forums. Anyone can just blaze away from behind an anonymous login and expect that people will take them seriously.

As you can see from the responses, his whinge was totally ignored and his post backfired big-time.

I will just back up what others have been saying. I have always had excellent service from JC. I havent even spent that much with them but on a couple of occasions I have had good and free advice from Peters expert team.

I only wish they had a branch up north.

We have had brilliant service from John Cross with 5%discount included all the time.

The team there are also very helpful on the telephone.

We wish they had a branch in Yorkshire!

Rob

I also purchased our Bulfinch barbi point from johnscross last year, excellent quality product and service.
A1.

John.
