John o groats?

I believe you can overnight at the carpark at Duncansby head lighthouse. i saw it on here I think but can't find it now.
We stayed at the campsite at John O'Groats last June before going to Orkney, there were only a hand full of units there, and we where the only ones in the pub till the passenger ferry came in. Didn't think much of Wick, but there is a good tesco's just outside on the road up to JO'G.

Hope you walked up the hill to the new statue commerating the highland clearances. Absolutely stunning. Full of messages that defines the Scot, determination, looking forward and upward, guiding and just a glance back.
Really proud of this and brings a lump to the throat to think how we treated our own

Hiya there is agrat wildcamping spot in amongst the slate village at Castlehill.
large carpark down the road past the old buildings. Interesting place if you like old buildings. We stayed a couple of nights in July and were the only ones there. See if i can find some pics. Jen

Hi Jenspen,was this close to "Summertown" by any chance,spent 4 nights there last year right on the picnic area next to the beach,a nice big sighn says"NO OVERNIGHT CAMPING" but while there during the evening a nice gent in a white car with a big red stripe cruised in & out never a word.Like to think he came by to make sure I was safe & sound
but doubt it.
