IVECO DAILY 49-10 TACHO REMOVAL KMH to MPH

Hi All, I have a converted Iveco Daily 49-10 Iris Bus LWB Hightop 1999 Second Generation. I have removed the Tacho head that read in KMH and replaced with a standard head which reads in MPH. Does anyone know how I can recalculate the speedo as it is now reading 10-25 MPH faster than im going (MPH gets more inaccurate the faster I go) but as its electronic im not sure how to recalculate it. Have read on one of the forums of a box with dip switches in it you can refigure but no idea where or what im looking for ? Anyone else done this conversion and got around the problem ? Any help gratefully received. Thanks.

Same prob here and have been told by iveco that there are a set of switch keys hid somewhere in the dash witch if changed about will correct the problem.
Mine still has the tacho which i wont bother changing, have you tried the iveco forum.

I’ve tried a couple of Iveco Forums which is how I found out about the switch box to convert it but no one seems to know where it’s located ???

I would imagine it's something that needs a specialist to do,they are meant to be tamper proof to keep drivers within regulations so I don't think it would be a DIY job. A DVSA registered HGV workshop may be your best bet.

The box will only switch readout from KPH to MPH the mileage reading is not effected. A lot of vehicles have a dual readout, our Toyota Yaris has a button on the dash that you can interchange between the two. This box must be a similar, manual, way of doing it. Have asked a local traffic policeman and it doesn’t matter which readout your vehicle uses so long as you abide to the speed limit. Just be easier if a non tachometer unit was fitted as no draw off battery during being parked up.
