Not really, it just feels like a new mh.

New clutch, dual mass flywheel thingymajig whatever that is, gear linkage stripped and parts replaced [damaged due to whacking me knob with a mallet - not advisable apparently, it harms it], pre-MOT inspection all round. £1095.00 which is better than the £2k I was expecting.

For a 20 year old MH it's now driving very smooth, gear changing is a lot easier and no sudden limp modes or over revving.

Work carried out by https://www.rvmrepairs.co.uk/ who service and repair school buses, coaches and HGV's.

Labour charge is £65 per hour which I think is reasonable.

Happy chappy!

My reaction pretty much when the mechanic explained them to me. The tumble weeds started to cross my vision after about 5 minutes.

The Sprinter DMF was good for about 100k miles Ral so I doubt you'll ever have to worry about it again. 😁

Basicly new type is a cushened unit bit like a elastic band where as the old solid unit was a bit more harsh, well if you are a cr-p driver.
There are some solid replacements on the market to swap back, but beware merks have a habit of bu--ering up the back crank bearing housing im told.
Would i like new unit, big no as just more to go wrong.
