I've been holding back arranging this year's trip until Maggie May et al have arranged things. But I decided enough is enough and booked.

We have a detailed itinerary as below:-
Sun 11 August Ferry to Spain.
Tue 8 October Ferry to UK.
(The bit in between is flexible.)

Our son will look after the house and the cat so all is well.

Looks like we’re doing France exact same reasons were going to do ferry hoping Hebrides etc but the roads are jumping up here with foreign played vehicles and it’s off season !

Coming back from Amsterdam the other week, the ferry was full of Motorhomes and it looked like we where the only British van. Coming out of the ferry terminal they all headed north, I said to Mrs G, that we'd put off going up to Scotland till September.

We have Scotland planned for June, when we normally would do Spain, France, Germany.
Just hope the midges are not too bad, as we intend to hug the west coast mostly.

We have just come down from Durness. The place is heaving with motorhomes and campervans, many of them foreign. We also passed a lot more who were heading up the West Coast for the NC500.

I have to say that the driving manners were impeccable on the single track sections along the North Coast ... well that is apart from one complete tosser on a motorcycle. My rear view mirror collided with his after he came straight past a passing place and thought he could get round a 7' 6" wide motorhome. My mirror is quite substantial and takes a lot of force to swing it back. It stayed in place but has a small crack in the plastic cover. I reckon his would have been wiped out completely. Perhaps he will learn from the experience.

never know at moment but if uk pull out of eu and scotland stay in then we might not be able to just go up to scotland .
all good fun. ha ha .
never know cornwall might go for free kernow and get it.
could be lots more gvt hassle on the cards .
