I've been given a Remoska Cooker in virtually unused condition

Hi,
My wife got a remoska in January and has been using it non-stop. We use it at home and in our motorhome when we have electric hook-up. Lakeland limited do a cookbook specifically for remoska cooking. I think the book is about £10, but it gives you all the advice you need to cook great food.
We had shepherds pie cooked in the remoska last night. Jacket potatoes are also great.

Yes, we bought one in a local kitchenware sale last year and it's great. Ours is smaller than the current models, and wouldn't do a whole chicken for instance. But it does chicken breast really well, and the baked potatoes from it are so good we often end up taking it into the house. We used it in Italy on low amperage hook ups with no problems - they use little electricity. Have fun experimenting.

Yes well.. we fell for the hype, after a few experiments it took up lodgings in the shed and then we punted it on.

Rubbish.

I purchased one too after reading some good reviews on it and find it perfect for the motorhome and our needs even though I do have a built in oven. It's great for making stews and casseroles plus a host of other meals, wouldn't travel without it now.

I don't have electricity apart from in the house. Oh I also cannot cook unless its a bbq :lol-049:

We have one as well, and do not have an oven in either the van or the house. You can bake in it anb it cooks chicken perfectly. It only takes some 300 watts so can be run from our small genny if needed

We have 2 sizes (med and large), don't often use the big one, but the medium gets a lot of use home and away.

Big saving on electricity.Great item.

Yep we have one, got it for the van and use it when on hook up.Also use it at home because it takes far less electricity than heating up a full size oven and it's less to clean. I make bread in it at home and also when we are away. You have to plan ahead a bit because it take just a bit longer than when cooking in a normal fan oven.
If you buy the small half pan as well you put it inside the big pan and you can cook two different items at the same time.Like a stew and a rice pudding or baked potatoes.Cooks a whole chicken and it keeps it beautifully moist.
Cannot speak to highly of the Ramoska. Not cheap to buy but well worth it.

We have had one for a couple of years and use it all the time at home from cooking sausages to part-baked bread rolls. Fantastic!!!

Expensive to buy, but saves on electric. I only use my oven at Christmas or when doing large roast meals. Rest of the time it is Remoska, hot plate, microwave and Wonderbag! At home and in the motorhome.

I wanted to buy one but thought £175 was ott.

This didn't show up when I last searched but it now seems Lakeland have a rival.

Alza looks to be a reputable Czech business with physical shops. Guess you'd need an adapter for the plug but at £70 I'm tempted again. Just wish I hadn't compromised and bought the GoChef 8in1 - brill on EHU but too power hungry for the small gennie we have.

Very interesting but your link took me straight to one of those ransom sites which try to get you to phone for very expensive unneeded help and make it very difficult to navigate away. perhaps you need to check just what you are linking to.

wow £175 gone up in price i assume for the Grand ? Lakeland had carte blanch distribution rights ....so others perhaps like an oven neff v belling etc

I have shouted about these things for years ....superb piece of kit and use it in the house for all sorts not least roasting joints......I would suspect having had mine 5 years or so i have recovered the investment in electric saving alone....that and my Coleman petrol stove ...best investments ever in my camping caravan motorhome over the years

Is that the same for everyone because it works ok for me - I can add one to my shopping cart etc . I'm certainly not getting anything that you've described.
