Well, the rogue Panel Van conversion was collected yesterday....finally! Refund came through as driver arrived to collect it. Poor man, the dealer didn't even get the collection address right....he rang from at pancreas station on his way to Kent ( our postal address) but we are in Suffolk! Luckily he managed to get off the train, go further down the line and get on the correct train. Both the sales manager and managing director had the address and nearest railway station so no excuse...although they tried to blame me, I sent them copies of the emailsi and they have been conspicuous in not replying or apologising. Couldn't organise a p***s up in a brewery.
Feel so relieved that it is all over ...fed the driver on arrival and gave him sandwiches for his journey back as he was going to hit all the motorway traffic.
Sorted the dvla, got tax refund requested, cancelled the insurance.....now to start again!

Warning to anyone looking at a very low mileage tribute 670 at Wilmoths in Southampton.....check it VERY carefully!

That’s one of the biggest problems with low mileage vehicles. Two reasons for it. Not used much or it’s a load of crap. You might as well get something with a sensible mileage for the year that has been looked after IMHO

Congratulations on getting the rubbish returned to the Dealer. Wonder what he will do with it.

What make are you going for next as you might find it just as bad ?

Really don't think we can go through it again!
Next we are going to get a newish panel van and Dave will convert it himself . Should have done that in the first place but no space ( no house at the time) and just a static which needed lots of work!. That got a few months work to do, then the van will be next! Luckily our son is going to let us use our old castoff when we want to go away!

The van only had 1000 miles and was never registered as been used as demo. They are reselling it...which is why I say avoid a low mileage tribute at Wilmoths!

Some times when dealers get these things back i go in and take a punt,iv had 50% and more of goods so i can fix and punt on.

Just out of curiosity I looked at their website. It is already for resale at MORE than we paid but although it has same reg and mileage seems to now be a peugeot engine and grown by 0.34 mtrs for the model?? Think their product knowledge is lacking, they can't have replaced the cushions or sorted the waste tank or electrics in the time they have had it as they couldn't do it in four months while we waited!
Feel sorry for the next owner!
