Hi folks,
Has anyone any recommendations/suggestions on places to overnight while on the Isle of Wight.
Thanks

Yes indeed. But I was hoping to learn from peoples previous experiences.

Of course.. I've not looked at 100% of available sites but so far only found 1 with a review, from 2020.. The rest "No ratings or reviews" so really not much help.
Thank you for your help.

I don't think it's a place that many people take their motorhome. The ferry costs may have a bearing ...

Not been for years but we did do a deal with the Waverley campsite at East Cowes one Christmas. I think it was about £130 for the week which included the ferry crossing. It was a no brainer really. Not sure if they are still doing it but might be worth checking as I dont remember seeing many wild spots, least not any that I would want to park up on. I think the main issue with the IOW is its heavily populated. It never felt to me like I was on an island. Just felt like an extension of the mainland with all its restrictions. I even managed to get a parking ticket within five minutes of leaving the van overhanging another bay in a car park.

We stayed at the radar station above Ventnor earlier this year. Lots of friendly dog walkers in the morning, great views, a bit windy - it was early March. We’d go back. We had an amazing lunch at the Noisy Lobster whilst we were there, they even welcomed our dog 😊

There’s supposed to be one in the woods next to parkhurst prison but I’ve never felt lucky enough to try and persuade my missus to stay there.
Good luck!!!
