Hi, Like many others I occasionally just come to this site flick through a few threads to see if any interest me before deciding whether to log on or not. Since the change, 10 strikes & you are out rule, I have found that that I can only look at 2/3 pages before being getting the “sign on or clear off message”. I have not gone to the newly formed classified section, just the general area so why. I did not experience any trouble before when we were allowed six views. Just asking.

Keep logged in Dezi; no hassle then. You have full acces anyhow as a site supporter (strangely you are alsoout rules after 10 strikes in the general section)

I do the same, scan through what's been posted before deciding whether to log on or not.
It's been like that for several weeks with me, long before the changes. Sometimes I could browse several pages before the "sign on or clear off " message and sometimes it popped up at the first attempt of stealth browsing.

Don't start on about the election Leo, I am already depressed, I have just found out that the hung parliament
that you get in the event of a draw does NOT actually mean that the B**t**ds are hung. Another one of lifes little disappointments.

Guys this seems to be an issue with the new code that Admin has put in place, a couple of others have had the same type of problem

Make sure you let him know or start a very bold thread and explain the problem. You should be able to view and post as much as you want in the main forum and only have limited access to the wilding spots.

I think it's a computer/cookies problem, as I always click on the Windows box 'Do you want Windows to remember your password' I never have to log in, it always does it automatically... or perhaps it's me!?!

it may well be, if you don'r log out and just close the browser you can also get problems as a lot of websites clear the session cookies only when you click the logout button. Its quite a security risk if you just close banking pages without loggin out properly.

This site shows you how to delete cookies in most browsers
How to delete cookies

Also deleting and stored / cached pages can help.
