That I've just ordered another kayak?

Pedal powered this time (as well as paddle)
And sit on rather than sit in....

Means the Sea kayak (as lovely and fast as it is)
Will have to go....
Its just too much work getting it up onto the motorhome rather than the Transit....

Roll on Easter and Borth.....

My Sevylor Kayak got its first outing on Ullswater on Friday. Still going strong. Had it six years now and used it all over from the Scottish Islands to the Mediterranean. I always fancied one of those shorter sit on top ridged Kayaks for sea surfing but I suspect it would all end in tears. I wrecked by first Sevylor in 2016 by taking it out into a huge Surf off Saltburn. It actually pretty much sank :D

I thought long and hard about a inflatable....
But knowing my luck I'd end up with one of the fishing lures stuck in it...
And hopefully the one I've bought will be, a bit more fishing friendly than the sea kayak

Looks great

Its all a compromise really. I would prefer something rigid (although I probably would never get in the one above :D ) but the inflatable is easy to carry, even on the scooter. I have seen people out fishing with them although even though mine is double skinned and pretty tough it would be recipe for disaster. Pretty stable though out in a good swell. Just not 8ft breakers. :D

My Sevylor Colorado is a great little boat, very stable but not a speed machine.

We got a Sevylor Colorado a few years ago which is great fun with two adults and two dogs in it. We sold our two hard boats which were great fun in the surf but take up a lot of room compared to the inflatable.

I ask the girl in the boat shop could I get something that blows up with a nice shape that I could get into easy, ended up with my face slapped.
