if not can only be good news, ok it’s only replacing the bio part of the fuel but there’s a lot of old tyres around and decrease in emissions can only be good, where’s colin when you need him bumbling around spain? C4C0313D-473A-4B2E-9C67-257609FB9460.jpg

I so want that to be true. Is it possible?

Next time I speak to my brother who lives in Oz, I will ask him, he buys shares in lots of scientific start up companies, he may possibly know?

'Brewing' up fuel from waste is also being considered over here, in this case it's converting plastic back to fuel, it is coming up against planning problems as nobody wants a plant near them.

Yes, there was a girl doing a start up on the news a few months back, turning the plastic bottles into useable fuels, Im no expert but it looked a lot of hard work for little reward.

I don't think it's true, just because I don't think there is 3000 lts in the tyre, let alone the waste...

I'm ready to be corrected :)

It would be quite possible the tyre weighs 7 tonne and 3000ltrs of oil would be under 3tonne

Well they say it’s a 7 ton tyre, so working on the metric ton,if it could all be converted into liquid it’s 7000 litres, assuming 1 litre per kg, and 1000 kg to the ton.
I agree with you 3000 litres or 300 litres per ton seems high!
But as you, stand to be corrected.

Approx 60% of a tyre is rubber. So I would think their figures quite possible.

Yes tyres are part made from tree sap so can be recycled to fuel.
