Clockwise from Rosslare and finishing in Belfast - I would welcome suggestions for "must sees" en route and places to stay whether wild or on sites as we'll do a mix of both. We've got 2 weeks - will it be enough? Probably not!!!

We've just come back from three weeks doing it the other way round from Belfast to Rosslare, and we will be going back to do all the things we missed this time. It all depends on what you want to see? if you let me know I may be able to help and Trevskoda is a great resource in the north . Try joining Motorhome Ireland on FB they are a good source as well.

You will find a lot of places up thwest coast not to happy about campervans, Galway springs to mind though very nice, you will have to use sites untill you hit Donegal.
A; depends on interests, if history id go for the Boyne vally east coast, newgrange, hill of tara etc.
Once you hit donegal the places to wild opens up and things to go see, national park not far from Lettterkenny, butterfly garden close by, Doe castle which has a big carpark ond not a soal for miles, milford which has a church and castle plus a later gun implacement.
If on the west donegal not far from buncrana you have the old british/irish Dunree fort which is well worth a day at, one thing i will say for 2 weeks
Id say stick to one place as you have no mission of seeing a fraction of Ireland, oh dont forget the marble arch caves not far from Enniskillen. car park 1.pngdoe castle 1.pngdoe castle 2.pngdunree a.pngdunree b.pngdunree c.pngnewgrange a.pngnewgrange b.pngnewgrange c.pngmarble arch boat.jpg.png

We went in 17, only had a week, but it was gobsmackingly great, we went clockwise from Dublin on the WAW not much inland, ended up in Belfast.

We're going again September time hopefully for four weeks.

Heading up to see Trevor to take him a copy of Win 11 :D :D

Disappointing to hear that, we're veterans of the west coast of Scotland and islands which have gone the same way so were hoping to find new territory in Ireland. The mood in Scotland has changed so much post lockdown, we still go there but feel obliged to use sites much more often than in the past which makes for a very different experience, and we spend a lot less locally when confined to a campsite so there aren't any winners here (other than the campsites).
Re our interests, hillwalking, history, wildlife, anything maritime, music, old cars...anything that doesn't involve big towns!

It will take longer than you think but as others said will give you an idea of where you'd like to go next time (all of it!)
If you like mountains then Kerry. Donegal has less tourists and unbelievable beaches. Did Trev mention the Famine village...must do.
Whatever you do don't throw household rubbish in regular bins...big fine. Save it up and take to recycling centre. It's a reasonable charge for disposal, or was pre covid.
You'll love itk

Best pic a few to does as you wont get a smidgen of it covered, I would do Glenveagh natianal park and take the bus round to the castle house, this was the hunting lodge of the chap who invented the gas meters, also the story of Glenveagh eviction site which was a tv film/play.

Port salon when i were a lad, bikes and tent about 8 of use, old Ritas pub and she was about 200 years old, left us drinking one night at about 12.30 saying im off to bed lads just drink away and leave me some money behind the bar, do pull the door after you, those were the days.
Picture of bar old house and tin hut with hotel up the hill.
