Inverter to power laptop

My inverter is 300w although I suspect a smaller one would have done as I now have a low wattage TV. I also have 2000w continuous inverter for the microwave but only ever used for the hair drier. The larger inverter has a high quiescent current so not efficient for charging laptop TV etc. Hope this helps.

Inverter for wildcamping

Hi,
Am presently away from home for around 2 weeks. Send me an email reminder & I'll give you my info on inverters. Been wildcamping for around 15 years & ran my business for a while whilst on the move so am willing to pass on my experience. I used computer & printer - no problem but you need to be cautious & no time presently to give all advice. The wife & I have & do travel frequently but would love to share our experience.
Best regards. Travellingman

Thanks Travellingman, I'll pm you in a couple of weeks.
We'll have picked our MH up by then. :cool1:

Be cautious

Lots of people make BIG mistakes when purchasing first motorhome. Send me a pm & I will try to advise you of pitfalls. Better prepared than being disappointed in long term. Regards, Travellingman

Free members can't receive PMs, unfortunately. Why not just post your advice in a thread, then everyone can benefit from it. That's the way forums work :)

Another vote for 12v charger - there will be less losses so your batteries will last for longer.

Do check it will work.

My fancy fairly top-end Dell won't work with generic chargers, but most will.

sorted

Ok have just tried my new 12v charger on the dell laptop. It charges while being on line. very happy.
