Can anyone enlighten me on the Icecrypt S1600CHD and its use on Intelsat 907. I understand that you will be able to get UK channels in Spain and Portugal. How can this be set up.

Is this the satellite that is supposed to be illegal to log onto that's a backup for terrestrial channels n all that? When we were last in Spain lots of brits on some campsites shared a great big dish to use it. Is this the one....some say they will soon turn i off...others are still charging xpats to fit dishes to receive it apparently.....all very interesting/amusing.....Maja

Couldn't say for Spain but last winter we had a lot of Astra 28 all around the Algarve with a 85 cm dish none of the main stream channels but plenty to watch of a evening

In the Algarve 907 is a bit better than Astra especially in he rain. an 80cm dish is good and it is probably easier unless you are a geek to buy a box out there with the software already installed. You wan the latest software package which includes Ch5 intsead of the defunct BBC3

I have the Icecrypt S1600CHD box but have not got a clue what to do with it,is it possible to send it away to some one and have the software installed.

Some of the TV guys out there can set up the box with a USB stick. If you contact the companies on line you may be able to buy a download. The box manufacturer will not help you
