I've just had a renewal for my insurance with Adrian flux. Up from 422 quid to 765 for my 6t 1995 vehicle🤬 . Interested to know what others in larger vehicles are getting quotes for. I know prices have gone up in rip off Britain but this is a stupid quote.
Any recommendations for a sensible insurer?

To be honest my price has gone down in the last 2 years.
Any change in circumstances, now over 70 , new address etc ?

Use a comparison site like confused.com/ compare the market etc. My renewal from CAMC favoured brokers Devitt was £450, got cover for £275 by using confused.com.
My vehicle is an older conversion at 6t. But could be worth a try but as it's a self build it won't be as easy.

Mine went up but nowhere as bad as yours. Only around £50 .we have the 270 day in one trip cover with Comfort as we now have a postcode . Only been it it just over a year and Sally comes up with...
Shall we rent it and go back travelling.....got to wait a bit or have to pay the vat back on the house build.
We tried a few comparison sites and got a lot cheaper quotes but when I checked them the cover wasn't great and some only quoted 3rd party, which took a bit of spotting. Have Comfort said why the big increase.

Hi Chris,it was Adrian flux, we are right out in the sticks until Monday so I can't do much with this unreliable internet and patchy phone signal. I'm bringing the m.o.t forward too as August is a pain in the arse time of year to have it done so double hassle. I am wondering how these companies would react if I state a storage facility that my mate owns down near my parents as it's other end of the country or are they likely to get difficult as my registered address is 300 miles away from where I would store it.

As an aside mate thanks again for those bulbs you gave me all those years ago. I just the other day changed an indicator bulb getting ready for m.o.t. prep. Over the years they have been really useful👍👍

When we renewed with comfort ( cheapest for what we need) they asked if we were on the electoral roll at the address and did we rent or own..we dont need the fulltime cover as we dont plan to be out of the uk for more than 9 months in 12... I never asked for a fulltime policy ,
for fulltime
Saga didn't ask anything just said 365 in europe but were more expensive as were the rac.
Only other ones that come to mind are NFU ,though people reckon to phone the Louth branch. I never tried them as after a few days I got fed up .
