Hi all
I am looking for a trailer that can carry roof bars for bike racks. We dont want to put a bike rack on the back of our van (too much weight with 4 bikes).

We saw one this summer, began with a B, I think. They had roof bars over the top of the trailer then 4 bike racks on top. Just wondered if anyone had seen anything like this for sale. We have a trailer but the sides are too weak to carry 4 bikes.

Any help would be great.

try halfords ,they have a great range in stock and they also deal with bike things. mabey they can sort you out with something.
 
How about a towbar mounted bike rack,they are easily removed when not needed and come complete with lighting board.

they sell the exact trailer you are looking for in halfords complete with the 'roof bars' not cheap though might be worth a look around for a secondhand one maybe on ebay:)

If you or other half handy with a few tools .Have seen a few small boat tralers adapted to take bike racks.Is always worth looking around for slight alternatives, you will be surprised at what you can find.

We have had the towbar one before, it used to take hours to strap it on then the bikes and with 4 bikes it really used to bounce when we went over speed bumps, so are looking for the trailer type this time. Will try halfords again last time we looked they didnt have anything suitable.

I think you may have seen a trailer tent fitted with the optional rack bars - these fit by extending the rails/frame down the sides of the trailer so they pick up on the trailer chassis as the sides and top are very weak.

it could have been a trailer tent with extras, however it was a professional job, looked a propa job lot. Just cant remember the name........

Some time ago someone mentioned that they had a roll up sleeping bag that was padded.

When sleeping up in the roof of our pop top I have found this quite hard and therefore require some kind of matress that wont take up too much room.

Any help would be greatly appreciated

How about an inflateable mattress? half inflated, Me and the missus tried a water bed but this was no good ,we kept drifting apart:eek::D
 
hi, I think you'll find what you want in the camping shops they've all kinds of gear for sleeping on the ground!
 
Ikea do a mattress protector thingy, it has a couple of inches of wadding and rolls up quite small, we used it to smooth out the lumps and bumps in the seats/bed of our Mazda Bongo! From memory it was quite cheap as well!

You could use a Self Inflating Mat. The 'Airics' from a company called Alpkit are the best you can get for the price. You can get singles in different sizes & thicknesses, or you can get a double such as this one....
