independant warentees

has any one invested in a vehicle/breakdown/mechanical warentee from an independent sorce
i used to have this when i had taxis
once the manafactures warentee ran out i got an independant one through my local garage and it was not expensive
may be this type of thing is available for motorhomes
any one heard of such a thing ?
 
You can usually buy warrenties from 3rd party companies, the same as most car dealers use, a google search will probably come up trumps, as to being motorhome specific i'm not sure, you should be able to get cover for the base vehicle in any case.

Be very very careful, a lot of these "warrenties" are not worth the paper they are written on. If you read the small print they cover everything that doesn't break! and everything that does break is usualy a consumable/wearing part so is not covered.
 
i agree geoff they are a complete waste of money leave them alone
 
Hi,
like Geoff said read the small print first before you buy. I have used them previously, when purchased with a Motorhome, and have had repairs carried out through them, a lot depends on the company used. Good Luck.
