We have had enough of the grotty sites. The ones where you cannot swing a cat and you can sit and listen to the neighbours snoring, the Spanish ghetto's with all the crap that they seem to accumulate along the way. I am sure that some of them live there full time. Last couple of sites have been bad. Glowing reports in ACIS book but not so when you arrive.

So now sitting in the mountains in a National Park sitting listening to the birds chattering. Went to sleep last night listening to the Owl hooting.

We have now decided if we go back down to the coast again that we are going to park outside the next site and go for a wander round first. Think some of these sites were laid out when 5m MH was LARGE ..

Seen a few NO MOTORHOME 21.00 to 09.00 but French don't seem able to read them.

Nice day today. Blue sky's. Birds singing. Suns out.

Where abouts are you? If your in France your always better off away from the coast IMO. Aires and sites seem to improve dramatically inland.

Yes, totally agree, we looked at loads, Doris found it very depressing.

I emailed (in Doris' name) and telephoned (no answer) ACSI asking about the reviews and how much truth was involved and many Euros were the campsites paying either ASCI or their reviewers. No response.

I also asked to be become a reviewer at the ACSI stand at the Nec telling them that I would do it for free at my own cost. They passed all my information on and I got a short sharp email response which basically said

'no chance we have got our own closed shop'

I reckon they are on a right earner.

We are in the Sierra Maria Parque Natural .. It's about 100 miles west of Murcia .. Great spot .. Local owls were busy last night trying to find mates. Lots of tooting going on until I nodded off :sleep-040:
