Finally found a slot in the calendar between hospital appointments, solicitors, builders and family visits etc etc and booked up ferry yesterday.

We are soon to be off for a months Continental wanderings.

Afternoon sailing from Dover and a Calais 8.00 morning return time are perfect and for a reasonable £123.

Three children in San Colombano near Milan are waiting to see uncle Dezi, providing he turns up with the Roses chocolates and has not

Forgotten how to make roast potatoes.

Its a hard life, sigh.

Here’s hoping you have a great trip.
I have to be out and about every other week or I get cabin fever lol ! Mind you only in the uk to date but venturing over to France next year to follow the Tour de France all being well.

You certainly appear to have got a good ferry deal. I normally only book one way as we just wander and when feel its time to return book again. Out of curiosity I tried a return trip and it made no difference in price, so will continue with booking one sailing at a time.

Will be crossing on 17t Inst so hope channel not too choppy.

Enjoy

Lucky you, have a good and safe trip.:camper::cheers::cheers::cheers::cheers::cheers::cheers:

The Murvi is only 6 Mtrs long and 2.4 high which cuts down on the price.

Enjoy your trip.
Are you sure you should be leaving the UK at such an interesting time?
Why not cancel the ferry and enjoy the daily ****** circus .?

Double checked and fare would be about £130 for my Autocruise, 6.4 long, 2.9 high with CCC reduction, so quiet good. Still prefer just booking one way to allow flexibility .

Enjoy

While I strongly disagree with the undemocratic way that the EU is run, plus no audit report or signed off accounts since its inception

I voted to remain because I had a good idea of the chaos that would occur when we left.

Unfortunately its worse than anyone could have imagined.

Going away for a month will at least spare me the the death throes.

So no more ****** talk PLEASE.

Apologies Dezi.
I thought that it was understood that not all of the claptrap, that I post on here, is to be taken seriously .
I have been known to pull the odd leg.
.

Enjoy your holiday and come back refreshed and bursting with optimism.

moi aussi,

However I have other irritants just come through the post. The annual over 70s renewal of driving licence.

The online application seems to get longer each year. ............................................................ or is it me ? :scared:
