IM BACK! day early cos my mate wasnt happy...but me and esp the dogs looked cromford!

Van behaved. dogs loved it, the water, the running around, playing with the other dogs!

I stopped in the car park near the toilet block. i did noticed next day, behind that stone wall, is another car park and huge field full of sheep, and lots of campervans parked on the actual field at the edge, quite far away, but dogs happily running around

i had a really good time, my mate how ever didnt....so had to come back a day early, ok he was sleeping in the cab, so not perfect but no sense of fun and adventure!!!!!

i took loads of fotos, and cant wait to go away again.....hopefully in a couple of weekends if i can afford the fuel.

would llike to try the E coast, and N york moors some time this year....

cant wait over winter to work on the inside, to make it better, i def need lots of storage space!

Glad you and the dogs enjoyed it at least. I was looking at you van pics and understand why your mate had trouble sleeping, perhaps a memory foam mattress across the cab on top of ply would have made a big difference.

yeah while he wasnt too comfy in the front, it def needs some work doing to make it wider and better, he missed his movies, his bed etc etc. so i doubt he will want to go again.

Your U shape seating setup is commonly used to make up a double bed perhaps you should think about changing that unless you are planning a seperate single berth somewhere else in the van.

At first I had a seat on each side of my van to make into a double but my daughter uses the van for festivals with her friends and prefers seperate beds so I decided on one long sofa down the side and an end kitchen across the width of the van which makes up another single bed at night and I stow it behind the sofa during the day. The daytime layout now allows for 5/6 people to sit in the van as her friends tend to gather at the van rather than sit in tents.

I've changed my layout three times since April.

Hi CJ

I saw you parked up, i was going to come and say hello but as i was in the car it seamt a bit odd, you might av thought i was the local nutter lol, did you get to see the pumphouse? that was just amazing, glad you enjoyed it, theres a couple of places i know of on the moors if you want to pm me

Yeah im not keen on how it was done, i want to make it poss to get in and out of the rear doors if need to, so will alter that at the back. i want to make some head height cuboards.

Didnt see the pumphouse, i was letting the dogs have fun, and the bit of walking i did really look it out of me, laid in bed now but will be ok in a couple of days. Seeing if i can go away this weekend, but def weekend after. Autumn and winter camping doesnt bother me.

Did you see my dogs? the really nice german shepherd and the v ugly little dog lol. :)

No, didn't see them, didnt hang around that long, we pulled up i saw you then we went up to the pumphouse, there was a dog running around the car park, alsationy looking but it looked like a stray, didnt see anyone with it

Well it could have been mine, while my friend was supposed to be looking after them. There was a huge amount of dogs, mine had fun but my GSD got attacked a couple of times by the little yappy rat dogs. then the owers look at me for some reason
Im taking the dogs away somewhere this fri for a couple of days, not too far as not much money for fuel to go too far again
