He cooks a mean omelette! , glad he still has the Cornish flag on the back of the roulotte :)

thanks-yes-this was utterley brilliant. I am 74 and spend up to 6 +months yearly

:) sorry havnt got the hang of this yet
I'm 73 and spend up to 6 mths+ in my old hymer (78) camper on continent-or on an even older boat on the waterways. Compared to him I live in luxury but I feel to old to winter on the road these days. Seems I was wrong. My camper is beginning to deteroriate (in body but mechanical soul is A1) so i hide in a secure wee flat in Belfast all Winter catching up with medics waiting appointments etc. Trouble is inertia takes over- spend all time watching tv , or surfing...couch porato growing- too bored to bother go out.
But with roaming it is quite different-always busy doing something when travelling wherever and manage without tv but learning how have mobile net.

I remember from a couple of your posts, you spent a bit of time in Kirk Bramwith near the canal a while ago.

I remember and I am not that old seeing the real romany's here, horse drawn trailers etc.

The decoration of the vans were quite frankly stunning. It would be good to sit around a campfire and talk to these people.

Not a skerrick of rubbish left when they moved on, It is important to remember there are Romanies and itinerants, the latter are often called the former and for my money worlds apart.

One thing that is a dead cert is they are true wildies !!

Great charactor

Thanks - enjoyed that very much. I think I have passed his van on the Exeter ring-road roundabout and - being summertime - lovely long grass for the horse to enjoy.

Usually a 'ONE HORSE_POWER' sign on the back I recall.

Talking to my mate the other day who has an office in exeter, where he has seen him quite a few times on the roundabout or thereabouts,so he is still there,we may go and find him with some food especially carrotts for the horse:)
