Hi,have just returned from a 6 week jaunt from the Harz mountains down to the Alps,across to the Bodensee and then the German Wine Street.What a great place Germany is,the food,wine and beer are very much to the english taste and the people are so very helpful and friendly.I had downloaded the Pro-Mobil + app as recommended by Peejay and I have to tell you what a great boon it is. You can use it off-line and still get nearly as much info as when on,but I am guessing that abroad most people would use it off-line.The text is in german but using the symbols included you can easily work out what you need to know,I know some german and had no problems.Because you can update the data base whenever you like,the detail is always spot-on,including any new sites or any no longer available.
