Help, I need help. Due to my brain tumour, last weeks trip was a disaster, so we are going to try again. My grand kids are coming and we are free from Thursday come back home after 4 days. Im exhausted looking, can someone please help me as my old eyes are not working that well of late, especially with computer light.

We want a few days by the beach on either direction, east or west from leeds, up to 2 hrs drive max and not in a rip off £40 plus a night resort. We dont need EHU, im ok off grid. Ideally a small nice site by the sea is perfect. Dont mind paying up to £20 a night.

If anyone has any ideas, I would love to hear them please.

Message intended for the camping buddies, not my golfing or other social groups.

If you're a member of C&CC there's a temporary holiday site at Bridlington this weekend. (think you can join on site)
Probably best to ring them to check there is room as its school hols.

Its regatta fields yacht club and fully booked, I tried it but no luck, but thanks for the info, shows you care.

Your best bet is to go to Fraisthorpe beach just south of Bridlington it’s about £3 to park all da right next to the beach opens about 9am closes about 7/8 pm then go find a lay-by or a poi just to sleep in there are plenty nearby. Also try Strawberry fields campsite nearby.

Glebe farm camp site £15 a day in Aldbrough 12 mile past Hull or car park next door at £4 for 24 hours, both situated less than 100 yards from beach, very quiet place. If you use the car park make sure you have your mobile and bank card as theirs no cash payments.google it first not easy to find.

Don’t know if Southport is too far for you but a nice spot right on beach near loads of stuff for kids a beautiful park and close enough to town for a walk around. Pleasure land car park behind fun fair £10 a night £3 for ehu has water and a waste dump

Southport was my first thought.
Fleetwood..? Allegedly Moho friendly..Tram to Blackpool.
Lytham St Anne's ?.
Good luck, at this busy time of the year.

The farm has developed some of that area now, I don't know if you know Annie. But it has a small site at the side of the new café, Don't know how much.

The campsite is quite expensive we stayed there 3 years back but was on the carpark earlier in the year still plenty of parking if you look on google earth.

The other carpark is at South shore they open the barrier about 8.30am and close at 9pm it’s about £8 all day but has all the amenities for kids and grownups beach, pub, arcade, fish and chips, beach shops selling everything you need for a day at the beach.

I was very bad down that bit of coast this weekend and a lot of damage done to tents and awnings. there could be quite a few packed up and gone home so it could be worth while ringing to check availability.

Not at all helpful, sorry, but I hope you find somewhere nice and have a fun trip x

Fabtastic replies and after long deliberation, we are going to Fraisthorpe for a few days. Weather looks ok so fingers crossed the eyes hold out. Thanks guys.
