About ten vans and maybe a few tents, for around June?

I go on another forum and am trying to organize a camper weekend sumwhere...........(forum isnt camper related but there are few campers who post)

Doesnt have to be wild as i can see a problem getting ten vans in a layby, a official site is fine. Preferably sumwhere that doesnt mind very small, controlled fires or such like in a bin or proper burner!

Even a nice farmer who would take £50 for a night sumwhere

Needs to be south of Buimingham, not as far as cornwall and not as far as kent so Wales and sortta midlands ish and below would be great!

Site...

Possible location could be the Travellers Rest at Upper Affcot (midway between Ludlow and Church Stretton on A49)?
I have no affiliation with the place but it always seems hospitable when I have stopped by returning from racing!
There is a large field (big enough for 3 footy pitches?) with, if I remember correctly, three or four hook ups etc etc and a good pint and decent food to boot!
Only 9 miles from Ludlow, 5 miles from the beautiful Long Mynd, Millenium Discovery centre at Craven Arms only 2 miles away

Not quite south of Birmingham though more.....West ;¬)

If you have a particular area, i could sort out afew small sites and phone numbers for you. Also i will be getting new book soon, so if not desperate could perhaps post 2006 book to you ,or meet up ,if we are not to far apart. Hope this is helpfull to you.

Yeah that would be good mate!

Im after sumwhere withing 100 miles swindon, preferably to the East/ south/ west!

Like i say wouldnt want afamily place really or sumwhere that would find a group of ten vans/ tents for a weekend a problem

How about Stratford upon Avon?
Riverside Caravan Park has 3 rallyfields (about £6.50-£7 per night per unit)
It is about a mile from Stratford town centre, and has its own river taxi plying back and fore.

Whitehouse Farm (either CL or CS - sorry can't remember which) has a rally field. No facilities except fresh water tap and toilet/waste dump. £3.00 per night per unit.
If you look in the CC or CCC sites book Whitehouse farm is at Radway, North of Banbury on the A422.

Voxy.
