On the 4th June, a friend asked to us look after one of thier dogs for the day, an 8month old Yorkshire Terrier so they could go out for the day. I picked her up in the morning and brought her home to our house, we took her out for a short walk to ensure our dogs got on ok with her (they were fine - we look after dogs all the time so they are used to it!!) and brought her back to the house. The lad who works for Mick came round shortly after we got back and when he brought his bike into the house she went in the front garden and escaped through the gate (it was closed but she went through the bars!!) It all happened so fast and we didnt realise for about 5 mins as we searched the house for her. We had a search team out for 10 hours that day, a few sightings including one from me, but anytime she was called she ran away. For the next 2 weeks she was seen almost daily but when called ran away. The village and especially the farmers were fantastic and everyone was on the look out and searches were held every day. Anyway, then she wasnt seen for 3 weeks until last Saturday when a walker saw her, once again she ran away.
So today, almost 6 weeks after she went missing one of the farmers has caught her!!!!!!!!!!!!!! - and she is now back at home with her very relieved owners. She has seen the vet and apart from being very knotted and on the skinny side she is fine and well!!!
What a little dog!!! Very happy ending!!
We were devasted, and as you can imagine her owners were beside themselves!!!
So happy its all over and she is back where she belongs
