TBH I have little time for KC regd hounds and even less time for the people behind it.
I have owned GSD's 41 years, during which time I had a hound whose Grandfather was Grand American Champion.( more red on the pedigree than you can shake a stick at).
TBH her intelligence was amazing possibly wasted, I am sure she would have made a guide dog etc, her disposition was incredible.
So What !!!
The standard of the breed indirectly encourages hip dislocation via breed standards. There would be no need for hip scoring had the 'experts ' used a degree of savvy.
FWIW current hound , no papers except her pets passport

100 percent GSD traits
I am yet to be convinced the Kennel club, has the dogs welfare at heart and not an organisation that panders to the expectations of some senile retired Army Colonel or 70 something old spinster a 'specialist' in the South Nottinghamshire vole hound etc
Caravan club syndrome ?
