Hymer Waste water tank

I have an old e reg Hymer B544. There is some waste water in the water tank, but no matter which way I trun the tap, to let it out, I do not seem able to get any to come out. Any ideas of how I can get rid of any blockage, assuming there is one?

There is a bit of a smell is well, which may be coming from there. Any suggestions would be good.

Thanks

Maria

If you can access an airline, stick it in the tap and blow it back. Can you remove the drain valve? I had a piece of plastic stuck in mine - took a while to get the valve apart but it cured it.

On our 544, we had a smell from the waste tank, it was because the middle part of the tank had 'sagged' so there was always some water left in the tank. I managed to length of wood between the supports for the tank, which lifted the centre of the tank above the drain tap. I then 1/2 filled the tank with fresh water and added some Milton fluid, drove around for a few days, drained the tank amd the problem was solved!
Hope this helps

Thanks

Will have a look into it thei weekend. Just at the moment, when I trun the tap, nothing comes out altho I am sure there is some in there. However if it has sagged that would explain it, thanks

Depending on the model if you can get right under the waste tank there might well be a large dump valve that will empty everything out of the waste tank. If there is I'd wear your waterproofs before unscrewing it!

I'm betting that the drain tap is clogged up with grease. They will unscrew off the tank and I'm sure you'll see the grease blob.
Hope that helps.
