Perhaps if you were to explain which Hymer you have and just exactly what your water problem is we might be able to help you do your own repair.:cool::cool:

We did try to solve the problem through the site last year and someone very kindly gave us a hand drawn diagram of the water system ... but we didn't manage to solve the problem.

I'm more than happy to have another go though, so here goes!

We have an N reg Hymer B544. last year while we were away the water stopped working (couldn't pull water through the bathroom taps I think) and when we got home we took it to New Horizons just round the corner from us to have a look at it. They connected together two exterior pipes under the water tank area with a large amount of gunk.

This solved the problem of drawing water to the taps, but on our return home we discovered that when we pulled the plug out of the bottom of the water tank, the water only dripped out, so we had to get under the van to pull apart the gunked pipes to drain the water out of the tank.

What we do now is fit pipes together to go away and then pull them apart when we get home to drain the tank. However, we get easily confused and usually forget to put the pipes back together before we go, so have no water while we are away!!!

We have tried Hymer for a diagram of what the pipes and connections should look like under the tank but they were unable to help. We have only come accross one other Hymer of our age, in a car park in Germany, but felt it a little cheeky to go and roll underneath to see what their connections look like!!!

We are unsure what happened to it last year - maybe a connection fell off or something? Maybe another Hymer owner could draw what theirs looks like underneath?

thanking you all in advance
