Any hymer owners out there that can advise me please. We recently swapped to a 2001 Hymer 564. The problem I'm finding is that during traveling, the catch that holds the shower door in the folded position does not hold the door secure and very soon its flapping freely about. Apart from the rattling noises the main problem is that the top corner of shower door is cutting a groove in the top side wall of shower cubicle. Has anyone else found this and if so how did you get the door to stay put in its proper place please

Don't know if your door is the same as mine but mine was the same I've took all mine
Out now ready for renovation then set it up straight maybe it was out of line or something
Or maybe the catches are not strong enough

Burtie, no mine is held closed in the fold position with a flimsy door retainer catch like the once used on some mh's for the outside door. I fact thinking about it was the same as on last mh outside door and it was useless there, only acted as a buffer. The side wall curves as it becomes the ceiling and that is where the sharpe corner if the door frame is making a groove. I was given a press stud strap by the dealer that was actually for a Bailey but no press studs, anyway I am reluctant to use it as I will have to screw in some thing to press stud the strap to and if it doesn't work iv ended up with more hole in the shower

just been out have a look at mine the catch on mine is in the middle of the door see picture

if yours is the same as this one then mine is also like yours it wont hold whilst driving

Burtie, why do you keep yours closed when traveling. I thought the whole point of a foldable door was to fold it out of the way when not using it

Good point but not one that I have thought about I've only been in the motorhome once before I started
The renovation work its the first van I've had with a seperate shower so just thought that it was
Supposed to be closed when running but as you know they just work their way open then start flapping
About you have to be carefull then because mine broke the top runner off the door that I've had to repair
