Just prior to Xmas I was on the phone to two companies south of the border regarding thermal exterior screens, sadly I've mislaid the contacts etc o had.
One of be companies require the vehicle on site to manufacture and I was impressed with them.
The other one I think was polar?
Any advice or suggestions welcome or if someone has one for sale
Many thanks for any help /advice

We've got the same A class cab and have the Taylormade external screens.............Hymer (2000 - 2006) Screen Cover

They are good quality and fit well. One end folds behind the passenger door(RHD)on the nearside and the other fits around the sliding window on the drivers side. They are held in position with suckers both inside the sliding window and external suckers on both sides.

Completely different type of MH but I've been very happy with the quality and ease of Taylormade screens

The company I talked with use the awning rail which is the type I have and secure at the side with elastic and clips onto the cleats on the body.they don't go round the doors with the envelope part.

Hello, the polar screen is made by Van Comfort in Sheffield.

The two companies generally flagged up through the classic Hymer group are Silver screens and Taylormade.

Windscreen Covers

Gordon I have sent you a PM on your thread last year about Windscreen covers myself I have always preferred Silver Screens but they are a very Quirky company there is only one way to deal with them and that's the way the lady that runs the company wants to deal with you leave a phone number and she will ring you back, for standard made screens its OK but made to measure may be more difficult

Yeah got pm ,didn't you get reply, gonna call em,.many thanks

Here is an example of how I fitted the screens to my previous van.
I sometimes did fit them over the window, but not the door.
My present Hymer has Hymer Screens and they fit completely external

Hi Granth thanks for the trouble putting up pics,I have a awning rail that goes nearly the width of ft screen above it then a section each side above windows of cab, this vehicle vim led to beleive was a demo for Hymer at new,my screens have awning chord that lace through the rails and are secured at both sides top and bottom of the Windows by elastic onto hooks which secure by cleats on the vehicle frame.i will post pics tomorrow.
I would like to keep the same set up ,even although m thinking on getting another veh in the future.
Many thanks again for your trouble.

Thermal screens

Granth this is a few pics On my way! Existing screens they're getting a bit tired but still work fine.
Hymer is lhd so pic is pass side with no door.awning chord top 4tie down onto cleats secured to body, they do not drop down on fitting which does not bother me.image.jpgimage.jpgimage.jpg as you can see fully externally fitted no water can enter door on drivers side as cover is laced into awning rail then secured by the cleat system.
I would even like a pair manufactured to this style if I could find a Manu.
Thanks for the time and help you guys have gave and info.
