Thanks for all the replies, and suggestions to my post. On oil change.

I now have another quandary; I have run out of grease, I use for the front wheel bearings, UJ joint, and kingpins, the grease I have in those places now is the last of a three-gallon drum that is now 30 years old, (from my truck owner driving days) my problem is finding a replacement grease, that will mix with the old, and eventually push the old out, as you cannot remove it. All I can google is many greases will not mix, and could react giving little protection.

I have a friend who has the same problem coming up, albeit in a few years’ time, he has three Classic British Lorries, and still uses a grease of that time, he has given me some that will last me a while. There must be someone who has got over this problem, with a classic motorhome. I continue searching.

Lithium general purpose grease. If you feel better can you not pump it in to expel old grease?
Unless your old three-gallon drum was a specialist grease chances are it is also a lithium grease.

Castrol LM and Castrol Molly has gone into all my vehicles, even from the 1940's
there is not much that has grease nipples now :)

When I was an apprentice the bain of my life was having to grease all the points on the Commer 15cwt weight vans 26 in all and some were awkward to get at, u/j's, king pins, suspension pins, everything seemed to have a grease nipple.
